About 30mins from the airport and 5mins away from City Centre, the Novotel Newcastle Beach has 88 well appointed and spacious. You’ll find a parking area on site which they charge for. Some of the rooms have a pleasant breakfast included in their rates and there are some rooms that have a wonderful ocean view. The location is pretty central so cafes, restaurants, theatres and etc. are all pretty accessible.

Guest Tip

Ask for a room with an ocean view. Some of the other views are not that great but if you’re the type that doesn’t mind, go for the rooms on the lower level. Just remember the general rule of thumb when you want a fantastic view: “the higher, the better.”

Quest Newcastle Serviced Apartments

575 Hunter St, Newcastle, New South Wales 2300, Australia

You’ll be able to walk to the waterfront boardwalk of Honeysuckle and the Marketown Shopping Centre when you stay at the Quest Newcastle Serviced Apartments. A light sleeper? Ask for a room that’s quieter. These are usually the rooms facing King Street. But, if you want more action and more things to look at, ask for the rooms that are near Hunter Street. Either way, you’ll have a good night’s sleep because the rooms are well insulated.

A great view of the harbor, right on the water – that’s what Crowne Plaze Newcastle offers. The pool is also right beside the harbor! Other than that, you’ll have easy access to a lot of shops, cafes and restaurants along the surrounding location.

The price may be a bit higher but it’s worth it if you have clean, spacious, well designed rooms with amazing views. The hotel’s L-shape allows it to have other views: city view. However, the harbor view is still the best.

Guest Tip

The rooms that are nearer to the bar/gym may experience a bit of noise so might as well upgrade/transfer to a room that’s facing the harbor. You may also like to know that self-parking and valet service cost the same so might as well go for the valet service because the parking area is a bit far.

The Clarendon Hotel

Clean, well-designed rooms with usual conveniences, complimentary laundry services, postal facilities, taxi bookings, a pub & a restaurant – if these are all of the things you’re looking for in a hotel, your best bet would be the Clarendon.

Aside from that, you’d want to know that the convenience of parking “next door” is offered since the hotel’s parking lot is right next to it.

You have to book rooms that are near Hunter Street as they are the best. Make sure to book your parking as well. Almost all of the rooms are sound insulated but the occasional Saturday night noise may creep through.
