This was rather a strange stay! Being the busy season there wasn’t a lot of availability in Ito but Seaside Hills Resort had a room, it was a little over our backpacker budget but we went for it. We had a lovely welcome from the two guys on Reception, helping us with our bags and showing us our room. It was a great room - a bit of luxury for us - with a brilliant view over town and our own wooden bath! However, it felt like we were the only people staying there. The place was eerily quiet. We had a stroll around and did not see another soul. Also being about 20 minutes walk from town, you need to make sure you have any drinks/snacks you may need in advance.
