We had a lovely stay at this Manor House which we chose due to its beautiful location with walks outside the door including Skiddaw. A couple of issues on arrival but these were actioned and rectified immediately by Alison. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the water was hot. It was wonderful to be able to choose from relaxing outside in the sunshine, the lounge or the snug. Breakfasts and evening meals were excellent and staff were all lovely. Will stay again.

Great location for hiking Skiddaw and accessing local walks and hikes. Friendly and accommodating staff. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and food delicious.

The food was absolutely delicious the service excellent with very friendly staff and it was wonderful as a dog friendly hotel. Our dog was allowed to join us anywhere in the hotel including the restaurant at breakfast and during our evening meal. The views from the bedroom window and outside terrace were beautiful and the location super. We could even go for a beautiful walk on the doorstep of the hotel Dodds Wood circular with a very rewarding view at the top!
