I really wanted to give 5 stars to this little property overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches in Folegandros. The location is truly special, and overall, it’s a peaceful place to stay. Unfortunately, a few things didn’t go as expected at check-in. We weren’t greeted or given any information about how to access our room, so we ended up waiting around 15–20 minutes for the owner and eventually figured out which room was ours. We also had to ask multiple times for the Wi-Fi and air conditioning instructions. The min issue was that we were given a different room from the one we had booked and confirmed via messages, the room we received was spacious but felt very old and had a strong smell, almost like it had been a smoking room. We weren’t happy with it. The owner did acknowledge the mistake and offered to move us to our original room the next day, which she did, and she also refunded us for the first night, which we appreciated. The issue was eventually resolved, but I do think the hospitality and communication could have been better from the start. That said, the owner did her best to make things right in her own way. The second room was much better and more comfortable, and we were able to enjoy a few lovely days on the island. Overall, depending on which room you get and what your expectations are, this is a charming little spot, away from the Chora but still close enough to reach beaches and restaurants easily.

The perfect stay. Our host dropped off bakery items each morning which was such a personal touch. She dropped us to the port on the last day. Helpful throughout.
