I traveled to Znojmo by car from Slovakia with my partner and a friend. The location of Spálený mlýn is truly its highlight, nestled in the middle of the forest within the beautiful Podyjí National Park. It offered much-needed peace and quiet, especially in the evenings after 8 PM, and the coolness inside the rooms was a great relief during the hot summer days. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They took great care of us during breakfast service. Initially, I didn’t realize breakfast was even available to book at the property, but after they kindly asked us if we wanted it, we booked on the spot. The breakfast turned out to be delicious, big and definitely worth trying. What we liked: We traveled by car from Slovakia, and the location was fantastic, right in the middle of the forest inside the national park. It was peaceful, quiet after 8 pm, and refreshingly cool on hot summer days, which was a nice contrast to the city heat. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They noticed when we didn’t book breakfast initially and kindly offered it to us. The breakfast turned out to be delicious. The rooms were spacious, and the beds were very comfortable with clean bedding. We also appreciated that we received more than one roll of toilet paper, which is rare in many accommodations across the Czech Republic.

unfortunately, no breakfast indicated on the internet, so I brought my own stuff (as the hotel is in the middle of the wood), eventually it turned out that breakfast is possible, alas in the morning

Location is superb! In the woods, quiet and calm yet 20min from the old town. Staff was very friendly and smiling, we enjoyed the breakfast (it was huge and tasty). Great location for biking and hiking, parking around the accommodation, WiFi working well.

The breakfast was delicious, the location nice and quiet and wild and we liked the lovely animals (fluffy sheep and friendly dog).
