This was a lovely farmhouse to stay in on my Mestia-Ushguli hike. The family were very friendly and kind - the owners don't have a lot of English, but their children do. The food was excellent and very generous and only 25 Lari, and there is a hammock in the garden under some trees, which was a delightful place to spend the afternoon after a long hike.

this is a place if you want to feel what it’s like to be a part of a real georgian family. the highlight of our stay was food - cooked on an old stove with love from a georgian lady.

I still feel sad to have departed from a family and location that has so grown on me over the days l was at GH Malkhaz Niguriani. It is a wonderful place to stay, definitely off the beaten track but a very rewarding experience. It is a GH with a beautiful farm and animals roaming around. Its atmosphere is relaxed and you will be with people older and younger taking care and befriending you. Don't come here just for an overnight stay on your trek from Mestia to Ushguli. Stay a bit longer and enjoy Zhabeshi. You won't regret it. Thank you 🍀💓 l will definitely come back.
