The receptionist is very helpful and knows a lot about the city and surroundings. He has recommended me some places that was really great. I spent in the hostel very calm and nice night and felt there very well.

Manager was very helpful, approachable and friendly. Shared dormitory was very clean as were the shared bathrooms, kitchen and public areas. A good location and quiet at night.

The hostel is superb. Claudio really cares and that matters. Attentive pre-check in communication, clean hostel, good kitchen, showers, and facilites. Room was in a 6 bed dorm, lockers provided, linen provided, and all guests were also respectful. Zarautz is not big and the hostel is very much on the Santiago Norte route, and super close to the beach! Supermarket nearby, bars, cafe's, and trasport. But, Claudio is the guy, he really cares and makes the hostel what it is. Highly recommend.

This hostel is special because of the host who makes you feel welcome and informed! Zarautz Hostel also has a small library with excellent books on surfing culture and travel. This place is great for those who like to meet new people, to get familiar with either history or contemporary way of living in North Spain. The beach is amazing, the town is beautiful, the pinxos are delicious and the view from the top of the hill near by the Hostel is breathtaking. For those who like to walk and look around there are great hills, paths, especially the one from the Zarautz to Getaria along the sea side. I was in Zarautz during the first week of October and I liked it because town was quiet and preparing to enter in his winter mode.

Location was good for Camino Norte, nearby coffee shop and bar/cafe. Interior design was well thought out, staff helpful and friendly. Big shower and lockers that lock.

Location is very central, the hostel is very clean and you have anything for your stay. Claudio - the owner is very friendly and helpful.

Nice terrace with a nice view. Bathroom facilities good. Comfortable beds in the shared room. Dining room facilities good and kitchen well looked well stocked.
