Very responsive and friendly hosts who met us on arrival, and showed us how everything worked including the sauna, the stereo preloaded with a lovely relaxing CD, and the TV and wifi. Simply everything you could need was provided, one of those apartments where you can easily imagine living in permanently. A lot of the time in apartments, some kitchen utensils or pans etc are of poor quality, blunt, or missing, but everything was new and sharp and useful. The bed was firm which was great for us. The bathroom is the standout room, so spacious, the amazing sauna and jacuzzi bath, candles and tea lights for atmosphere, plenty of towels. The wifi was strong and consistent, and the sofa was so comfy, plus my partner immediately commandeered the recliner armchair for the duration. Parking is easily accessed right in front of the apartment, and I have a Dacia Lodgy, a big, long car, and I had no problem each day. In summary, it was a great place to spend time in and a perfect base for exploring and a welcome place to come home to after a day out. We ate at the Nagyapam Borozo, (5minutes' walk up the road) every night as the food was so good and a great place to people-watch, good cheap wines. Our hosts recommended the Kilato restaurant which we did drive to (30-minute walk otherwise) but it was closed as they were on holiday - not mentioned on their website, so we were glad we didn't walk as it was along a very up and down and steep route. But the food does look amazing, and we are sure our hosts' recommendation would have been justified. We will be heading back to Spirit Apartman in the spring for some amazing birdwatching on Kis Balaton, 20 mins drive away, and for some excellent homemade lunch in Zsebi kifozdeje in Zalavar, a popular local's haunt with a set menu. We also highly recommend the Buffalo Reserve nearby which we will go to again to watch breeding bee eaters in the sandbank they have there. Can't wait.
