Friendliness and English speaking ability of owner. Excellent restaurant recommendation - Ariran Rikyu Yufuin. Quietness, even though there were other guests. Spaciousness of the rooms.

Very nice ryokan style with private onsen. Just a bit difficult for the big luggage, need to carry upstairs to enter the place.
