View from our room was stunning. Mr Chang looked after us going beyond expectation. As tired cyclists, and no restaurant open in the hotel he offered to drive us somewhere for dinner. Very much appreciated.

Staff were very welcoming and spoke good English. Free food available in foyer on arrival and we were upgraded from a twin room to a family room on the 5th floor with a balcony overlooking Sun Moon Lake. The early evening and early morning views over the lake were stunning. Free parking was available in the hotel car park and we were lucky to get a space as it has limited spaces. Hotel is a 15 min walk from Shuishe where you can get coffee, food, hire bikes, get on a boat trip and buy souvenirs. Car parking in Shuishe's main car park is reasonably cheap.

The view surely is hard to beat. Location is ideal, close enough to walk to the “main ferry pier” but far enough away to feel secluded. Friendly staff, keen to help. Close to a bus stop, not all buses seem to stop there though - I think it depends if you want a local bus or tourist shuttle. The room we had was massive, plenty of space and a lovely balcony to sit on and admire the views. Breakfast was included.

We had a great view from our room and the room was also very big and clean. So overall it was worth it. However it is about 20 minutes walking from the center and the main bus station and we could not find a taxi easily.
