Great location in central York and a beautiful characterful building with an interesting history. The room was lovely with great toiletries and staff on the front desk were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Good breakfast at a very reasonable price. The bar downstairs is lovely but v popular so you need to book to be sure if a table even for midweek lunch
