Burton Stone was a fantastic find. An easy 10 minute (maximum) walk into York made it a great location. Parking on site is a bonus. Our room, Number 9, was large and airy...had the biggest bay window I have ever seen which had been made into a comfortable seating area. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was modern and clean. Good range of teas and coffee, with biscuits and chocolates an added extra. Aggie and her husband Michael were very friendly. Breakfast, cooked to order, was excellent, and there was a very good choice. Should you stay there? YES! We will be back.

This is a little gem of a hotel close to the centre. It's run by a husband and wife team. Michal is the most jolly hotelier we have ever met. The hotel itself was clean and welcoming. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The breakfasts were made to order, well presented and used the finest ingredients. Super happy with our stay and would highly recommend to others.
