It's a good backup stay if you're unable to find anything at a reasonable price in Manhattan. The kitchen is good, with a lot of supplies so that you can cook your meals. You can get to upper Manhattan in about 1h30min

First and foremost, thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. I spent a month here, and it truly felt like home. This is an amazing place at a fantastic price. The house has everything you might need (I even found a special pot for cooking rice in the kitchen). The room is small but very cozy, with a perfect desk if you need to work. Communication with the owner and the local host was excellent. The neighborhood is safe and quiet—I never felt uneasy or threatened. You can access the city via Metro-North (about 30-40 minutes to Grand Central), but I recommend using the Yonkers station instead of Glenwood, as it’s closer and has fewer hills along the way. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to that station.
