Super nice and friendly, just around the corner from Yudanaka station, where you can get the bus to snow monkey park or shiga kogen. Warm inside, with good heating and comfortable beds!

This place is very good value for money. I stayed in the female dorm and it was like having my own room. I felt like I had a lot of privacy within the semi-enclosed room I had and the bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms were always so clean and the breakfast was always delicious. I was a little bit worried about the temperature since I get cold easily and I know that Japanese houses can be chilly. However, the whole place was kept quite warm - especially in the rooms at night. The proximity to Yudanaka station was definitely a huge bonus. When I left, I accidentally forgot my book and the owner ran down the hill to the station to give it to me before I got on the train. I really appreciated that!

Amazing location & very clean. Small room with very comfortable futons & shared living areas with a wonderful host & her sweet dog. We stayed a night to visit the snow monkeys early the following day & it was perfect!

The dormitory beds were in their own cozy little cubicles. An extra blanket was provided. The decoration was very Japanese and nice. The bed slept well. I also loved the atmosphere of this guesthouse! The owner is very friendly and hospitable. In the common area there were blanketed tables, which was great for your free morning coffee. Everything was very clean and in good shape. The location is wonderful and free parking was nice. The town has some good restaurants and everything you could need.

This is a guest house. You will be sharing most facilities minus your own room with other people. The hosts hospitality was faultless. The complimentary onsen tickets each day were a welcome additional as I had hurt myself in Shiga Kogen and needed the hot water soak. Breakfast was cheap and easily available if required, a la carte on request between 7AM to 10AM. Very easy to get to the accommodation from Yudanaka train station for the train to Nagano or buses to Shiga Kogen, I literally walked up the road 5 minutes. The host has a funny little dog named Koharu. The building was always warm and the common area has kotatsus you can sit at. There was free coffee making facilities/fridge/water station/microwave. There is some ski/snowboard storage but it is not dedicated storage, but for the size of the property it was sufficient.
