Wow! This was my best stay in Japan. I loved the exceptional attentive service, the very characterful old world charm of this venerable building steeped in history overlooking the Harbor View Park yet with all the latest modern facilities discretely included. The welcome every time you enter or leave the building, the traditional ‘top hat’ smart doormen, the excellent food in the restaurants and at breakfast. The pretty tearooms, classic luxury, a real treat. The views from our corner room overlooking the Harbour included the sight of the nightly sky illuminated night shows they have on Yokohama skyline. It was a very romantic, elegant and welcoming English speaking 5 star feeling experience. The staff and there attentiveness were exceptional and super efficient. We will stay here again for sure.

Yokohama is a great city, the harbour front gardens are immediately across the road at the front of this historically important building. 200m in the other direction is a subway station, supermarket and the entrance to the vibrant China town. A Perfect location for visits to Kamakura, Hakone, and Tokyo. Rooms in the tower block (the majority of the hotel's rooms) are excellent, European sized and well furnished. There is an option to upgrade from side facing rooms to front or front corner rooms. Highly reccomended for at least one stay! I have previously (at least ten years ago) used this hotel extensively on multiple business vists to Japan. This 2025 trip was all holiday and I was delighted to find the same high level of friendly service. What is new, is a speedy Limosuine coach service to Haneda airport from just at the front of the hotel. Best Y1000 transport deal around!
