Lovely house with lovely decor. Could do with a basic first aid box as I needed a plaster, but it wasn't really a major issue. Sadie, our dog, was very comfortable and happy with her bed in the kitchen after her short walks in lots of close by places. Will definitely be back to explore some more.

We had a wonderful stay at Sycamore Cottage. The house is beautiful, set over three floors and decorated to a very high standard. The house had everything we needed from cutlery to lovely warm bedding, perfect for this cold weather. We were also greeted by the owner, Steve, on arrival, despite arriving at 9pm at night which meant a lot to us. He was also contactable whenever we needed to ask a question. The owners are so thoughtful that they made sure we had milk and chocolates in the fridge which were very welcome after a long journey from London and meant we didn’t have to worry about getting milk in the morning. These little details make all the difference. The owners have also thought about entertainment with a TV and DVDs made available to guests, along with access to online streaming. The house was also exceptionally clean and located close to Yarm, with a convenience shop not far from the house where you can pick up everything you need. There’s also a little pub 2 mins walk away that do a great takeaway. An added bonus was being able to bring our little dog with us and there were wonderful places close by to take her for walks. It’s a beautiful cottage set in a gorgeous part of Middlesbrough and I cannot recommend it enough. We will definitely be back.

Door key lock provided , very simple to use and communication by the owners on the code and directions were excellent . Cottage was very warm and very clean and had everything you needed. Right next door to a great pub with excellent food. Views from the cottage windows are amazing and we were able to see all 7 planets from the sky lights in the top bedroom , amazing! We had an excellent stay and I can imagine it being amazing in the summer.
