It was my best accomodation experience in Japan and a true highlight of my trip. This ryokan is absolutely gorgeous! Akira-san is also a super friendly and accommodating host who even gave me a ride to the snow monkey park the next day. Everything about this ryokan is marvelous: the room, the breakfast, the onsen,... I can't recommend it enough, it's just that good. There is a reason why this place has got such high ratings.

Best hotel stay of our trip. Akira went above and beyond the whole stay with lifts to and from the monkey park and the train station. His whole family were so welcoming, it felt like coming to stay with your own family. Beautiful rooms and wonderful food. Our kids want to come back as in their words “ this hotel and Akira and his family, stole their hearts”. Don’t hesitate to book here.

The property was amazing and such a relaxing space. Traditional and extremely comfortable. Excellent service from Akira and all other staff! Could not be more perfect. This is my second time staying here and I would love to stay again.

Our stay was fantastic. Location was great - near onsens, restaurants and the monkey park. The accommodation was traditional, clean and comfortable and the private onsen was amazing. Our hosts were so kind and gracious. They picked us up from the train station and helped us get to the monkey park in the morning. They helped with everything we needed and spoke excellent English.
