We were picked up at the train station by a Shibu staff member who greeted us with a friendly smile that made us feel welcome. The room and onsen were to our expectations which gave us a taste of traditional Japanese living. Great place to relax with plenty of restaurants to savour the local Cuisine. We enjoyed our short stay.

It felt so authentic and was much more spacious than anywhere else we stayed throughout the trip. Staff was able to accommodate our last minute booking and even give some great recommendations for food and things to do/see. Shuttle service was excellent as well!

The location of the accommodation is perfect if you want to visit all nine onsens. The staff are helpful and friendly, and everything you need to enjoy the onsens is available on site. There are several excellent bars and restaurants in the area, and the room was spacious and comfortable.
