When booking, please indicate in the Special Request box the gender of each guest staying in the room and what mode of transportation you plan to use.Shuttle buses are available between the property and Zao-onsen Bus Stop. Please make a reservation at least 1 day in advance.Please contact the property in advance if you are arriving with a car.Guests with a room-only plan and a breakfast-inclusive plan arriving after 22:00 must inform the property in advance. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation.The annex building may have guests with small pets.Please note the property charges an additional heating fee between December and March.All children under 3 years are charged per night when using existing beds with adults. Extra bedding and meals, except for a complimentary lunch will not be provided.Child rates include complimentary lunch for children.Please note that restaurants around the area are limited and may close early in the evening. Dining options may be difficult to find after 19:00.Guests with tattoos may not be permitted to use the property’s public bathing areas or other facilities where the tattoos might be visible to other guests.

There are several restaurants about 10 mins' walk away. The Sunrise gelande is also within 5 mins' walk. The room was spacious and the view of the town was quite pretty. Aside from the main baths, there are 5 private outdoor baths (露天風呂, two in the main wing and three in the east wing), which are on a free reservation basis between ~3 PM and ~9 PM, so if you check in late like we did, you might have to wait till 9 PM to go to one of those. However, it was great to enjoy them as a couple - we tried two of them, and might be back to cover the rest.

Great baths after long day of skiing. Staff were very helpful and attentive to needs. Shuttle service provided was very helpful (you will need them unless you like walking up hills). We were offered a free shuttle back to Yamagata so that was very helpful. Rooms were warm and spacious and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay.

The staff were so helpful and kind. The onsens were amazing. Shuttle bus from the bus terminal and Yamagata station. Slopes close by.

We had a great stay at Mogamitakayu Zenshichinoyu Ohira. Lots of onsens and the breakfast a mix of Japanese and western food. The hotel provided us with discount vouchers for ski hire and offered a shuttle service. Zao Onsen is a beautiful resort and the hotel was a short walk from the bottom of onsen no. 4 quad.
