Perfect location to explore, we took the bus tour to the ruins and it was brilliantly organized. Lovely restaurant and fab cocktails!

The hotel is actually a collection of cottages in a jungle setting and covers quite a large area. Our cottage, Nance, was perfect, with a large comfortable lounge/ kitchenette area (complete with fridge and cooker) and two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with two bunks. There's modern air-con in both bedrooms. Outside, there is a small covered terrace to sip your evening aperitifs - which you will need to bring with you - or listen to the sounds of the jungle. You'll need plenty of anti-insect spray! The restaurant at reception serves good, reasonably priced food and the breakfasts are just what you need for exploring Calakamul or any of the other Mayan sites in the area. Service is charming and efficient.

The bungalow looks very small from the outside, but when you enter, you feel like entering Harry Potter's suitcase as it is immensely much bigger than it seems. The decoration of the room and the equipment are so beautiful, comfortable and practical. We loved the secluded terrace (we only saw the light of the neighbors through the trees) from where we were able to spot a small fox as well as a boar. Alexa turned off the lights for us and played the music we wanted ;-). If the sun does not shine long enough to provide warm water, you can just press a red button to start the boiler. We always enjoyed the 5 minute walk (we had the bungalow furthest away, so the distances are really not far + a torch is provided) to the restaurant where Manuel always welcomed us in a good mood and served us from a big menu selection. The cleaning lady does a fantastic job. Efficient and neat!!! Thanks for the laundry service and the lunch box which we took for our trip to Calakmul. A great place to visit. Don't miss the Cenote de los murcielagos in the evening, when millions of bats leave the cave to hunt (approximately 39minutes by car).

This is a good choice for visiting the more remote Mayan ruins, especially if you have a car. It's quiet, with a very nice restaurant/common area near the reception, where there's carefully curated music, just loud enough to create a friendly vibe. Good breakfast. The rooms are well appointed, although beware Casa Limon! More on that in the next section.

Location to Maya Ruins. Private/separate casa. We (a couple) stayed 4 nights in the "Family" $$$ suite with kitchen because all others were booked and we wanted to prepare out own meals. Hot breakfast included w/ choice of egg. Enjoyed being in a forest setting. Loved the family dogs at reception. One even ventured out to see us!

A really beautiful place in the forest, with large well appointed rooms (stocked fridge, wines, huge beds, good Wi-Fi, chairs and table etc) and private parking outside each Casa. The food is excellent at both breakfast and dinner. Loved the hummingbird feeders and the gentle, friendly dogs. The staff were great.

Breakfast and restaurant service was very good especially for being in the middle of the jungle! Not very close to Calakmul site, but the only viable solution

The room fits the pictures and the looks are pretty luxurious especially if you take into account that it is amidst the jungle
