We had an amazing and relaxing stay at Nature Cure Village Lodge! Steven and Lillian are the best hosts, very friendly, kind, helpful and generous. The lodge is stunning, very lovely rooms, a beautiful view and delicious breakfast. Steven gave us lots of great recommendations and lent us their bicycles. We had a great time cycling to local villages, visited Huangling scenic area and went water rafting which was very fun! We had an amazing time exploring and also getting to know Steven and Lillian over cups of delicious iced tea. We definitely will be returning in the future😊

An absolutely perfect stay. The lodge is ideally located in the heart of the countryside, with several beautiful villages to explore nearby. From the balcony, there is a stunning view of the mountains. The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious — they even served us tea made from leaves grown directly in their garden. They also thoughtfully took our halal diet into account. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful from beginning to end. They helped us avoid being overcharged by a taxi upon arrival, and suggested a much better itinerary than what we had seen on social media. Thanks to them, we visited beautiful and authentic villages nearby by bike (they lent us their bikes for free). They also gave us a lot of interesting information about the history of Wuyuan and shared helpful travel tips for our time in China. They recommended a nearby restaurant and even wrote down a short explanation in Chinese to help us explain that we eat halal, so we wouldn’t accidentally get dishes with meat broth — and the food was delicious! They also recommended an excellent halal restaurant near Huangling, which was perfect after our visit there. When no driver was available on Didi, they kindly offered to call their own driver, and on our last day, they personally drove us to the train station to make sure we didn’t miss our train. They even helped us buy train tickets by translating at the counter. We felt more like we were staying at a friend’s home than at a hotel. Overall, they were incredibly attentive and caring throughout our whole stay. Highly recommended!

Steven was more than just a host—he felt like a great friend I met during my journey. His warm hospitality and witty conversation made my stay incredibly relaxing. The place was full of hippie vibes, eco-friendly touches, and a laid-back atmosphere. And for smokers, it’s a little paradise with free cigarettes! I truly appreciated the thoughtful, nature-conscious details. If you’re looking to escape the everyday and chill out, this is the perfect spot.
