Wonderful little pension at a very quiet and foresty place, in a small river valley. The hosts running it are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We were hiking the Rennsteig in SE direction and the last few days of that one it is not easy to find open hotels, especially when we did it in April. Adolfshaide is a bit aside the Rennsteig, but I just created a slight variation which I am sure was equally beautiful. You can also ask the hosts friendly if someone can pick you up at a small fee from the village nearby which is still ON the Rennsteig - we did not do that. NOTE THOUGH, apart from brekky and a beer, NO open restaurant anymore, so you got to either get that earlier on the Rennsteig, or walk 2 km extra to the nearby village and back again.
