We loved the whole stay. Everything was wonderful. The views are stunning. The air is fresh. The sound is of the birds and countryside The grounds of the Little Pentre Barn - The Gin Cottage have been well thought out. Do look at pictures and video - NB: mute my awful voice first, haha. There's Dragon's Henge, Cat Island, 2 shepherd huts that can also be booked to stay in. They have they're own seating area and fire pits. And, if you're not yet wowed, and stsying there between June and August, there is an out door swimming pool!!! There's a small sauna and a hot tub. (Only open June-August). It a places for walkers and those who just want to chillout and enjoy the view and country air. I actually saw stars, lots and lots of stars at night - amazing. (I am from Manchester so don't see many, often.) The cottage is cosy, comfortable, has a great outside covered decking area. See photos. It's like something from the Beverly Hill Billies - it just needed a rocking chair, and Jed Clampett, lol. The cottage has a log burner, which John (the very helpful host) showed me how to use and I loved it! Remember to bring logs and fire starters with you. John will provide at a fee, if you forget. The kitchen hasn't got a cooker, just microwave, toaster and fridge, so it's not a cooking break which suited me, haha. There's a BBQ by the porch/decking area. It's a very unique place. There are a couple of other cottages to rent out so a great place for a few of you to stay. They are all different and quirky. I will try another cottage or even a shepherd's hut on my next visit. Check it out. John has really thought through the well designed and equipped accommodation and grounds. Absolutely spot on - perfect!

such a perfect getaway for my partner and i. such a cosy place with pretty sites not too far away. john was so accommodating and loved meeting the various animals around the properties.

We loved how peaceful it was, all facilities were great and everything we needed. The host was great and welcoming from start to finish and allowing us a late check in time. It was lovely and cosy. We enjoyed the pool and the scenery everyday and the public footpaths around the fields. The log burner was great fun as it was our first time using one.
