“Peace and tranquillity at an affordable price.”

I like everything about my stay, John was welcoming, and as a solo traveller, this put me at ease. Nothing was too much, l asked for firewood for the log burner, and this was done and put ready for me when l returned. I had no issue with John entering the property whilst l was not there, and l appreciated him taking the time to do this for me. If you want a slice of peace and tranquillity, this is the location with you, but l loved how they have considered little ones with areas for them to explore. The views are something else, and l took the opportunity to sit in the field next to the accommodation and watch the sun set, which was breathtaking. Thank you 😊

“We had a great time and would love to come back again one day”
18 Apr 2025
The property was nice and quiet, away from busy roads so you could really relax and enjoy the beautiful property. We had a great time just enjoying the serenity in the outdoor seating, including a swinging chair. John was lovely and we really loved the options available such as to purchase materials for the log burner. Its proximity to nearby public footpaths made it great to walk around and easy to adventure safely. We had a great time.

“Beautiful, peaceful, and perfect”

Beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we needed to relax. The barn was cosy, comfortable, and homely with everything you could possibly need. John was very friendly and welcoming, showed us around, told us about things to do and good places to eat and visit in the local area, and then left us to relax and enjoy our stay. I loved the folder full of information, written with humour and some great stories. The barn was warm, well equipped, and a very comfortable couch and bed. The shower gets to a good temperature with surprisingly good pressure. The place is absolutely charming and full of interesting bits and bobs. We made friends with cats and chickens, went for some lovely walks, and one nighttime adventure to do some stargazing - the lack of light pollution made the stars stand out so beautifully. We really did not want to leave, and honestly, feel 10 years younger. I would recommend a visit to the corner cafe in Ellesmere and a walk around the mere aftewards to burn it off! Thank you John, it was perfect, and we will be back later this year!
