Hotel Overview

Set in peaceful 26 acres of grounds, just 6 miles from the historic market town of Penistone, Wortley Hall offers 3-star hotel accommodation as well as a restaurant, a bar, an on-site fitness centre, free parking and free WiFi in all rooms.
The bedrooms all have a bathroom with a shower and some also have a bath. Other facilities include tea/coffee and TVs.
The bar lounges serve food everyday and our 2 Rosette Ruddy Duck Restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday serving British contemporary cuisine featuring local Yorkshire produce. Guests can enjoy a Sunday lunch from 12 until 14.30.
Wortley Golf Club is half a mile from Wortley and Westwood Country Park is a 5-minute drive away. The property is just 4.2 miles off M1 Motorway. The hotel is 5 minutes from junction 35a/36 on the M1.
The garden, with its lake, provides an ideal setting for a walk.

Beautiful setting, lovely gardens. A little bit quirky. Room nice, clean and comfortable, we had a cheaper room at the back of the hotel and though quiet through the night we were woken at 5am by delivery. One young man in the bar gave exceptional service saying we could have dinner in the bar as it was more peaceful and he served us perfectly. Very nice meal too. There was a raucous crowd in the restaurant, so a more peaceful setting suited us after a long journey. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again if only to enjoy the beautiful gardens and walks around the hotel. We guess it would be quite busy and noisy when wedding are on but you are warned about that when booking.

We attended for a wedding - food was great and the venue was lovely. The room was a little dated. Bed was comfy.

A beautiful location with stunning grounds and views. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful and efficient. We had a very nice meal in the bar. Breakfast was fabulous. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
