Carole gave us a friendly, warm welcome as we arrived and checked in with us the next day to see if we needed anything. She was very thoughful and attentive, taking great care in making us feel at home. The welcome pack was a lovely gesture and very generous too compared to many other places we've stayed in before. The cottage itself was gorgeous, warm, spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything one may need and lovely to cook in. All of us found the beds extremely comfortable and we loved that the cottage was so festively decorated for Christmas. We also enjoyed the perfect location, just outside beautiful York, but in a country setting, perfect for a relaxing break. Our children and our cat loved watching the horses come up to the fence, great entertainment. All in all, a fabulous stay, wish we had booked it for longer, but hope to return soon. Thank you Carole and merry Christmas!

We were met by Carole the owner, very welcoming, we were shown around the property and given the keys. Wonderful Welcome Package. The location was lovely, it was a cottage on a farm, farmhouse to the one side and horses on the other. Open fields and only other farms down the road, well presented, exceptionally clean, fully equipped kitchen, supply of children’s toys, books, tourist information and a book of tested local eateries, including if dog friendly. . Lazy spa and BBQ were extras. All out excellent service and an ideal location for Selby, York and it’s surrounding areas.

Everything, it was a perfect location and the cottage was excellent. Will definitely be coming back. The hosts were great. The cottage was much bigger than we expected.
