Our host, Vahid, was incredibly friendly and helpful, truly making our 8-night stay memorable. The facilities and our room were lovely—comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Beautiful period house. Just our style. Leaded glass, high ceilings, wood paneling...sigh. So beautiful. Renovations are being done outside, and this just added to the "WOW" factor, picturing what it will all look like. Marcia was great to chat with over coffee outside, overlooking the Assiniboine River, talking about the updates to come. We had a large room, the bathroom had heated floors and walk-in shower ( good for older folks like us), and a comfortable bed. No complaints. On the second floor is a common area with comfortable sofs and chairs, a coffee bar, and board games to play. We weren't able to take advantage of this space due to our schedule this visit. Otherwise, we definitely would have spent time relaxing there. Vahid was very helpful during check-in and at breakfast, helping make the coffees and showing us what was available in the kitchen. Continental breakfast is offered with lots of options. There are also several really good breakfast spots a 5 minute walk away if you would like something more substantial. We needed to iron some clothes, and they offered both iron or clothes steamer options, which you don't normally see. We are already planning to book again next time we are in Winnipeg.

A huge old house that the owners have created little modern bedroom/bathroom units while still maintaining the feel of the older home. Be aware that there are lots of stairs. Our host carried our bags to our room which was a lovely gesture. Breakfast every morning was great with plenty of options. It also presented a chance to talk with other guests.
