We were going to an investiture at the castle. The house is 1 minute from castle gate! We were grandparents, children and teenage grandchildren. With 5 bedrooms it was perfect. The house is immaculate. Full of light. There are a lot of steps and the house is old so do not expect to find a lift. We could sit together to chat and make hot drinks. Breakfast was so easy with a well fitted open plan kitchen and a large table to sit round. Tim , the manager kept in touch and gave personal replies. Parking is not possible right by the house, though one can usually stop very close by to offload the luggage-(check for times of changing of the guard)

The location was fantastic and the property was very well equipped and comfortable. Tim was incredibly helpful, providing excellent recommendations on where to eat as well as giving excellent details on checking in, where best to park etc
