The cottage is in a beautiful setting and fairly quiet, despite backing a busy road. It is really nicely furnished and very comfortable. Had the weather permitted it would have been lovely to sit outside for a BBQ. We enjoyed looking on to the beautiful gardens.

The location is simply strategic to visit the Lake district. The jetty within the property is magic!

It was our 2nd time here, great location with access to Windermere just a short walk down the lane to your own private jetty with seating area.

Waterhead Cottage was the highlight of our trip toEurope, Iceland and the UK. The Lake District is stunning and the cottage to match. It is well set up for a couple, beautifully decorated and comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was so well equipped. The cottage was facing a beautiful grove of trees and although the weather wasn’t conducive to sitting outside during our stay,I could imagine sitting on the patio would be lovely in the warmer weather. The cottage also has access to the Lake and the views from the jetty were stunning. It is in a great location, close to Windermere and Ambleside but still with wonderful views away from the busy-ness of the towns.
