Have been to the site for many years,and have been to Bowness 66 to it is a beautiful lodge and has everything in it for your stay,and particularly now it has WiFi that was great,owners have thought of everyone's needs,and even games and Dvds for the kids,owners are very helpful if you need any help, The lodge is situated on a beautiful immaculate part of the park 2 mins walk from the lake,you could not fault this place.

The property far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and everywhere clean and welcoming. The en-suite shower was better than ours at home and water temperature very responsive to the requested settings. The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge area comfortable and homely. Positioned just 50 meters from Windermere shore and a short 5 minute walk from the entertainment area ensured we were free from unwanted noise and distractions.

The location of the Park is great for accessing the central Lakes, but you do need to hop in a car really (or get the frequent bus) to get to Windermere or Ambleside. Bowness 66 is a lovely lodge in a quiet bit of the park. The lodge owners communication was excellent, quick to answer any questions but also checked that all was ok at the start and the end of the stay. The lodge was immaculately clean and what was so good was that it was well stocked with 'stuff' that one can often forget when packing for a self-catering holiday. Beds were comfy and the bedding nice and clean and crisp. Showers / baths were nice and hot with decent pressure. TV and wifi were reliable with also a great selection of DVDs and games to use/play. We would certainly book Bowness 66 again as a base for doing other things but see below re the actual park.
