It really is a home from home. We were the only guests and so had the choice of rooms! We went for the one with the en suite bathrooms but all of the rooms are exquisite. The Green Room is so comfortable. Come hungry - the amazing hostess, Sophie, makes the most amazing breakfasts which defeated me totally but were wonderfully tasty, and when you arrive she offers you drinks and snacks which will affect your supper intake later if you aren’t careful! Nothing is too much trouble for her, and she is a mine of information on what to do and see. We left with the utmost reluctance this morning. A rare find. What a lovely lady.

Sophie is a gem-I felt right at home from the moment I stepped into the house. The house is gorgeous and it’s an easy (and beautiful) walk to downtown. We ended up skipping many of the activities we had planned in Wilmington because we had more fun hanging out with Sophie at her home. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. You certainly won’t go hungry here!

The home felt very warm and welcoming.Sophie is a very kind and friendly hostess. The rooms are comfortable and well stocked with anything you may need.The house was decorated for Christmas and really put you in the spirit.. Excellent breakfast, waffles were the best we have ever tasted.We will definitely be back.If you want the best fruitcake you ever tried, stay at Christmas time,you will not be disappointed.
