The location was perfect, so easy and convenient for day trips to Interlaken, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen - and much quieter and cosy than Interlaken. Breakfast was well stocked and delicious every morning! We expected to be greeted on the first day, but to check in and check out, we picked up a key in an envelope at the front desk and dropped it off in the same place. We weren't sure if we ever saw the host, but the staff we did encounter were very friendly. No problems with the facilities, and there was a communal fridge which was handy for packed lunches/groceries.

A picture perfect stay in Wilderswil, just a short train ride from Interlaken Ost, the views and village are spectacular. A couple of minutes walk from the train station to the hotel, with clear check in instructions. The shower pressure was great, the breakfast options plentiful and the staff friendly. I would absolutely recommend a stay at the Historic Hotel Steinbock.

The check in was easy and smooth, the location is just a short walk to the train station which makes it easily accessible even if you don't have a car. The breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were quite and comfy beds. We slept with out windows open so we could fall asleep listening to the river right next to the hotel. I saved this hotel for future bookings and hope to return again!
