We were are a group of 5 bikers riding the NC500 and Wick was a scheduled stop. The house was perfectly located on the route and only a short walk to 'town' (& there's a petrol station at the end of the road). Wick is a bit 'neglected' but we managed to find a pub for food (wasn't great!!) but as far as accommodation is concerned we couldn't have been happier. If you are travelling like us I would recommend going to the CoOp (a few minutes walk) and getting some food/beers in and staying in for the night, you wont miss anything!!
