Liked room size, and table & chairs available. Still appeared to be in "vintage mode". Room decor looked more to resemble actual HJ lodge of late '70's.

There was no breakfast as described on the website. Reception stated they don't do breakfast. Very odd. Also there was no record of my booking when I checked in....Fortunately there was a room for me. NO record even though i had a Booking .com ref number...they wanted a Howard Johnson booking number...go figure...Lesson to be learnt here ...go direct and avoid the hassle.
