Lovely traditional style pub with warm and friendly staff and a fantastic chef !! We had dinner the first night as it was convenient to do so and were absolutely happy to go back again the second night as the food was that good!!!

It was okay, a great view, but while I was trying to sleep, I heard knocking all night on and off, then when I finally got some sleep, there was the traffic going by, apart from that, the food was lovely but so was the price

Loved the location, staff very friendly and welcoming. Cosy, comfortable and clean room. And a great pub with excellent food. We had our little dog with us and she was made very welcome. Gemma was very helpful, efficient and friendly, an asset for the business

Staff were helpful and polite. Manager didn't get his name was lovely helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room. Food was great and lots of it. Nice wine was had. Location we love as we have been going to Ye Olde Boot for nearly ten years now and never tire of the place. Breakfast was filling lady who attended to us was very chatty and looked after us right through. Thank you we will be back soon.

Great location for onward travel to local hospital the following day. Easy to locate and huge car park. Room has central heating but there was an extra heater for cold blooded guests.

Easy to find as on main A road with castle opposite and very good double glazing so not noisy. Good basic pub grub and wine.
