Friendly staff, landlady/owner is a gem. Nice and warm, hot shower, good beers, excellent full English breakfast. Ideal for our stay on the coast to coast walk.

It looks adorable from the outside. But it truly needs some thoughtful renovation on the inside. This may have been the oldest looking (and feeling) place of accommodation weve ec Ver stayed in the UK. It served our purposes. We just needed somewhere in the area to sleep for the night. The place has huge potential!

A beautiful old pub conveniently located on the coast-to-coast walking route. I stayed in a lovely old room. The staff were very hospitable, the grounds beautiful, and the food was delicious!

Beautifully situated Inn in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors by the River Esk. On the Wainwrights Coast to Coast route. Close to Whitby and other coastal locations. Popular bar and restaurant. Lovely substantial breakfast.
