We hoped for a relaxing break. We got so much more. West Mersea is a small, very friendly community and offers some great restaurants. We would recommend Seafood at Dawn and the Coast Inn, which are just around the corner from the apartment. The apartment itself is lovely, and the hosts David and Anne were helpful, when needed, but not intrusive. The apartment was the cleanest we have ever stayed in, and trust me, we have stayed in a lot. It is well equipped and decorated/designed to a high standard. The parking space is a great bonus, and the balcony adds an outside space to relax enjoy on a warm day. Can't recommend enough.

The place was spotless, designed so beautifully, relaxing and set at the end of a gravel drive and it was so peaceful so enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a cuppa. The people are so lovely there’s everything you could ask for within walking distance, shops, restaurants, and so many walks along the coastline.
