Wonderfuly amazing place. I'm like in the movie 😍 Building is not new, but you feel authentic of it ( small memorial at the entrance, little fish pound, wood furnitures). As you in the jungle you can finds peacocks on next roofs and squirrels.So instead of 2 nights, I decided to stay here 7 nights 😁

The resort is in a really peaceful location away from the busier areas but within easy walking distance to town and beaches. Lovely hot shower and we have a room with a balcony overlooking the garden. Bed is comfortable. We hired a moped and there’s plenty of free parking. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time here!

I absolutely loved my stay at Onilwe. The location is fantastic: it’s just 5 minutes from everything you might need in the town -- beaches, surfing spots, and great cafés -- yet it’s tucked away in a very quiet and cosy area, making it a truly pleasant place to be. The hotel itself is quite small, which creates a lovely sense of community, as you often see and get to know the other guests. The rooms are spacious and clean, and housekeeping is provided on the same day upon request. There were absolutely no issues with water, water pressure, or electricity (something that can occasionally be a concern elsewhere in Sri Lanka). Everything worked perfectly. But the real gem of this place is its host and owner, Janaka. He is not only a wonderful person to talk to, but also genuinely goes above and beyond to help and organise everything so that your stay in the country is perfect. I will 100% be coming back the next time I’m in Sri Lanka.
