The peaceful atmosphere, the views in the rooms and common areas. Amazing food at every meal. The hospitality,everyone was very kind.

What an amazing place to go escape and rest! Third time in the reserve, first time at this lodge. Again the reserve was simply amazing and in spite of the heavy rains restricting access to certain parts of the reserve, we were still able to have some amazing animal sightings, plus it means the plant life was beautiful. The lodge had an intimate setup/layout with only 5 rooms/chalets. Overall place was neat, clean and very nice. Rooms a tad close to each other, so not as private when you're in your room/on your balcony as some of the other lodges. All the staff were extremely friendly and engaging for the entire time I was there, which says a lot given I was there for basically a week. The guide, Abri, was very knowledgeable and entertaining, which was a bonus on the drives where animals were a tad 'shy'. The chef, John, made some delicious food and was always willing to make small tweaks to his plan to suit your own specific preferences, which is great! The small splash pool gets lots of sun, meaning in spite for the cooler, rainy weather overall, that on the sunny days I was able to take a nice refreshing break in the pool. Rooms are well insulated and have fire places, so should be nice and cozy even on the coldest winter nights.
