Michele “Comfortable & peaceful rural retreat.”

The Stables was a perfect 4 day stay to end our 8 week tour of Europe. It was comfortable, peaceful and well appointed with onsite parking. The views of the fields and sky from each window made us feel relaxed and very close to nature. It was a short drive to the pretty town of Leek and to The Roaches which was an easy uphill walk past Bearstone Rock to the top of the ridge for the most beautiful views for miles. We had an interesting day out to the village of Eyam with its unique plague history of 1665-66. Keith & Thelma were respectful & interesting hosts. Keith & my husband, Lloyd, finding they had common interests so shared very familiar stories. We have very fond memories of staying at The Stables and would highly recommend it as a wonderful rural retreat.

It is a lovely, well presented Cottage in beautiful location. Keith, the owner, was lovely and made us feel very welcome. The Cottage is in a quiet location with the opportunity for some wonderful walks.
