Beautiful apartment slap bang in the middle of the village near the shop, pubs (I highly recommend The Steps but all the pubs are proper traditional and very welcoming with good ale) restaurant (The Forge - we didn't go but we've been told it's excellent). You're a short hop to the A1M for Newcastle and Durham too.

We liked the spacious layout of the apartment and the firm mattress. We also liked the ensuite shower room with its plentiful supply of hot water. There was more than enough heat from the radiators to keep us warm in the depths of winter.
