Location wise it was only a stone's throw from the White House and some typical WShington bars & restaurants

I LOVED this hotel. I chose it because of its location and price. I never expected it to be one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Most hotels have a beautiful lobby, excellent room service, but then the bedrooms are all alike. I was on the top floor and had views in every direction. The hotel was the first high-rise building in Washington - all of nine floors! - and in my bedroom I could read its history and how it was first the residence of well-to-do newly married couples. I loved the old wood desk in my room (at which I worked), the old wood panelling, the comfortable bed and sheets - perfect! I actually revised my week's schedule so that I could spend longer just being in my lovely bedroom!

super close to the white house! quite comfortable, even though the bed is a bit small for two people.

The location was perfect, very close to the subway station and walking distance from the White House. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
