Wonderful setting that feels truly rural, yet is only 10–15 minutes from shops and other amenities. There are plenty of historic places to explore nearby, including National Trust and English Heritage sites. The house is very peaceful, perfect for watching wildlife from the window (we spotted foxes, a goshawk and lots of sheep!), and the Wi‑Fi worked well. The kitchen is also very well equipped.

The location was excellent for the areas we wanted to visit. The hosts were really friendly and accommodating. This is not the first time or last that we will book The Cart Lodge.
