The quality and cleanliness of the property was spot on. The owner, (I didn’t ask his name) was very friendly and down to earth. The beds were very generous in size and comfortable. The property is an ideal base for 4 adults, however, I’d say that there’s not enough seating to cater for 4 adults at all, unless 3 want to sit shoulder to shoulder on the settee. The 4th one would have to sit on the pouffe. The bathrooms, one main and one en-suite were fabulous! No complaints there at all, very pleasant indeed! The kitchen etc was ample in size and was equipped well. If I were to score just the building, patio and hot tub I’d give it a strong 7/10. The temperatures outside were around 10 degrees during the day and sub 10 at night and yet the air source heat pump kept the property nice and warm. I set the thermostat at 20 degrees and it stayed constantly 20 degrees. Very impressed with the system, stacks of hot water etc. even though we were in the middle of the farm yard, it was very private indeed! Well thought out. There are no beautiful vistas from the patio, but we knew that before we booked. One of the nice things about staying here was that we weren’t bothered once by the owners, we were left to just get on with it, which relaxed me, I don’t like owners poking their nose around saying, “we hope you’re enjoying your stay” when they just want to check on their property…none of that here. Fabulous!

Great open plan layout, perfect garden for children, clean and high standard conversion, log burner was so cozy, hot tub an obvious winner. Perfect cottage for our holiday.
