The fine print
Note that smoking is strictly prohibited at this property. You will be fined $500 if there is any evidence of cigarettes having been smoked on site. This is non-negotiable due the extreme fire risk in place all summer in Central Otago.All guests need to have a moderate level of fitness as you are required to walk 5-10 minutes to your camp site, over uneven terrain uphill. Access to Mt Gold is especially steep.Please note the property will contact you to provide key collection instructions.This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

Dome was great and bed was comfortable. Provision of blankets and portable chargers was very handy. We could tell alot of work has gone into set up of the space. Beautiful location. Shower was lovely with good temperature and pressure. Fantails were very friendly.

For our travels in New Zealand, we were so excited to book this glamping experience for two nights, and we came prepared and ready for our adventure (light packing for the stay, BBQ food and an SUV to handle the poor conditions of the access road) and fit enough for the climb up to the glamp, having climbed some significant mountains in recent years. However, and compared to other glamps throughout New Zealand, we were a bit underwhelmed .... and some love, investment and attention to detail are required to make this as successful as others. It was though a unique experience, and many funny and not so funny memories were created! The tent is beautifully positioned overlooking the bay / lake - and truly quiet and private. The beds were comfortable and we slept really well in general (albeit - a bit nervous in the windy conditions we experienced during our first night). The shower worked well for us, but the toilet less so (despite being well used to outdoor toilets).
