Wonderful setting. Waking up to the tūīs. Watching the tūī from the ranch slider feeding in the bird feeder. Wanted to stay another night but was already booked. Will come again!

The location in the middle of a bird sanctuary/reserve was exceptional. We had not expected the walk through the bush and the beauty of the place. The cottage was extremely well equipped and comfortable. Many interesting stories associated with the art and the history of the place. The staff were excellent- friendly and helpful. I would highly highly recommend a stay at Theo's Cottage or at the very least a visit to the reserve. It is an important place conserving both natural bush and creatures.
