Michael “An excellent small boutique hotel”

This small boutique hotel was very welcoming. The owner Raj went out of his way to make us feel genuinely welcome, like friends staying with him and not just paying guests. His attention to detail is impeccable and his massage was probably one of the best which I have ever had. Very thorough and professional. The location is great for a short walk into Wadduwa for shops and restaurants and also to the beautiful and unspoilt beach, in the opposite direction. I am happy to recommend and will certainly stay at Raj Mahal Inn again

This is a very unique boutique hotel with an atmosphere of total freedom and privacy. The owner, Raj, goes out of his way to make sure guests are as comfortable as possible and get to experience something new. He is an incredibly open and friendly guy. My room was spacious, air-conditioned, and had very interesting decor. It was equipped with a fridge, a kettle, a large comfortable bed, and a private bathroom. My balcony overlooked the railway line; at first, it seemed loud, but I soon stopped noticing it. I even brought earplugs after reading other reviews, but I didn’t end up using them at all. The hotel’s location is great—very close to the beach and within easy walking distance of supermarkets and fruit stalls. Raj is an amazing cook who takes all your preferences into account. The breakfasts were delicious, and he also made me an incredible vegetarian dinner. Some dishes were true culinary discoveries for me, and I even asked him for the recipes! Also, Raj gives a fantastic massage (he really is multi-talented). I highly recommend trying one of the options—total relaxation is guaranteed. Some guests may sunbathe nude. I’m not into nudism myself, but the hotel has such a relaxed vibe of "endless freedom" that it didn’t bother me at all. It’s also worth noting that the place feels very safe and private, away from any prying eyes. I loved everything about my stay. It was a new and interesting experience. Highly recommended for a mindful holiday!

It’s a charming, rustic, boutique inn in a small town that is conveniently located next to a railway station (easy access to Colombo) and a short walk to the beach. Raj, the owner of the place, puts a lot of effort into taking care of guests.

Great staff and location to walk to beach and shops. Can organise a surf lesson for you which was perfect.
