Houseboat in Marina of Volendam is beautiful place to stay - quiet, peaceful and quite romantic. It is stunning location with beautiful scenery where you can hear different species of birds in the background and watch the sun set. You can easily reach all other destinations you want see and visit from here. They are shops, restaurants and places to eat around. The houseboat is small but pretty and cozy inside.The beds are comfortable too but... Unfortunately, there is a BUT... In the bathroom there was NO SOAP TO WASH YOUR HANDS!!! Ridiculous. That's basic and absolute must even in public places. Little shower shelve to put your shower gel, shampoo etc. wouldn't be a bad idea either so you don't have to bend down every time you reach for your washing things from the shower floor. In the kitchen was no salt, no pepper or sugar or even kitchen paper towel. We travel quite lots and these things are basics & STANDARD in most rented properties. Or do you really expect the tourists especially the ones coming from abroad to put all those missing things in their hand luggage to board the plane? Another thing - in the kitchen there is a nice coffee machine/maker to place coffee capsules in without a single capsule.There was information missing that we should bring our own capsules and what type. I think it would have been a nice touch to have few coffee capsules there for the guests as the stay is not exactly cheap. We did love the houseboat and truly enjoyed our stay. Only, it's shame..all those little things would make not only our stay but stay for all other guests in the future much better and nicer. THANK YOU. Greeting and Kind Regards Simona Orság

Great location, quiet and away from the hustle of amsterdam. There is a bus that goes direct to centraal station in 25mins. Well spaced from neighbouring accommodation, no noise from neighbouring boats and didn't have to be wary of annoying anyone else. Was lovely to sit outside in the mornings, very peaceful. Would definitely come again.
