A real welcome from two lovely people who have made their lives here and have a genuine interest in their guests. Super friendly and inviting you to get a glimpse into the life they've created for themselves and all that goes with it. We were treated to a delicious meal with our hosts and their other guests and free flowing conversation about how this oasis came to be. Off the beaten track and an unexpected joy. I can only send them my very best wishes for the future and will remember our brief time there as very special. So glad we stopped off here on our way to the unmissable Cango Caves.

Amber Lagoon will see me again! For those that want something different, away from the lights of a city, this is it. Susanna makes you feel at home and everything is shared in the communal area. The pool is a big plus. Amber is the place you go to read, relax and swim. Amber is ideal for people who like to camp or do not mind sharing the communal areas.

This is a rustic rambling place that has been lovingly hand-built by the owner. Set in one of the hottest places in the country, it was extraordinary to find a large swimming pool where we could float under the stars.
