The location is perfect for visiting Astrid Lindgrens Värld and Näs. It's also nice to go on trips in the area. Oxgården itself with the shared garden is nice. My kids made great friends and I met great people. It's nice to bring people together. We were there in the middle of August and besides many nice Swedes there were several German families and one from Austria. Many only stay for a day or two, though. The cabin was big enough for us and it had everything from fridge to shower. On request at the reception they also washed and dried our clothes. I booked last minute which gave us a nice discount.

Nice location, 10 mins walk from Astrid Lindgren’s World. Booked a cabin with 2 bed rooms. Enough for two families of 2 adults and 2 kids. The dinner buffet is quite good. A mix of freshly made Thai food and pizza. 3 different Thai dishes, 3 different pizza flavours. Breakfast basket is also good, with buns, cheese, jam, butter, black coffee, milk, yoghurt and müsli.

It's very close to Astrid Lindgrens Värld and Näs, i.e. in walking distance, and you can reach the center of Vimmerby easily. The staff was very nice. It was no problem to extend the stay by another day. This is probably different in the high season. Even in the low season on Friday and Saturday almost all cottages were occupied. We used the grill place a couple of times, which is nice in this complex. The cottages are not new anymore, but still good.
